Driving up the Californian coastal route you could easily stop every mile or so to take in sights of seals, sea birds, sea stacks and the rugged coastline. Often the coast is enveloped in heavy mist during the day. Coupled with the generally cloudless days of Summer, this means that the hoped for ‘great sunset’ shots are going to be rare if not impossible.
Nevertheless, it is outstanding scenery. We’re in no hurry and are simply taking it all in.
